The day’s events included the following, along with some surprises!:

  • Dancers (10 a.m.) (Folks, if the "Mile High Steppers" can get out and DANCE at 10 a.m., YOU can get out there and WATCH them!)
  • Cloggers (11 a.m.) These are the "Fundance Cloggers of Prescott Valley". They're the best. Need we say more?
  • Crowning of the new Crazy Legs King (3 p.m.) Who's legs will it be THIS year?! (I do hope someone sends photos of this event!)
  • Fed up with county decisions that impact YOU? Here’s your chance to show ‘em what you think. Bring your money for a chance to dunk our county supervisor Bill Feldmeier ( 11 a.m. to noon, while the weather’s warm of course.) And if that doesn’t work, click on the underlined link that follows to share your concerns about county decisions that impact our community. Write Mr. Felmeier by clicking on the link below: Bill Feldmeier. He's an elected official, you know.
  • Chipped off about that letter you didn’t receive? Or perhaps you’re even *more* chipped off about the letter you DID receive. Take it out in good fun on Postmaster Will Hall. Try dunking him at 12:30 p.m. (while the weather is still warm, of course).
  • Word has it that some locals (brave ones, no doubt) will also be on the dunk tank. Come to Cordes Lakes Daze and find out who the willing ones are! Come and dunk your least favorite neighbor. Dunk your favorite neighbor. Or, better yet, make a new neighbor while supporting our community. Dunk a stranger. Then, hang around and introduce yourself to them! You'll have a shared experience that will last for years!
  • A White Elephant Sale
  • A Granny Closet
  • A Bubble Gum Contest
  • Pinatas
  • Raffles
  • Live Music (All day. Includes Barber Shop music by the Prescott Chapter.) Teens: Here’s a chance to show off your new "do", spikes, color and all! What better way to make a statement than to enjoy REAL Barber Shop music!
  • Parents: Fingerprinting for your children will be available from the Yavapai County Sheriff VIP CSM unit. Please take advantage of this very significant opportunity.

In addition to the above, Cordes Lakes Daze 1999 has attracted 20 vendors from around the state. A wide variety of food – including BBQ Chicken & Beef – will be available.

Come join the fun. Meet your neighbors. Participate in the raffles. And treat your kids to some surprises.

Proceeds from this event go to support the Cordes Lakes Community Association (I think. I am in the process of checking this fact.)
